Dr. Li
Dr. Li Yi Li was born in China and grew up in New York City. She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences and Biochemistry with Honors. She then pursued optometry and graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry Summa Cum Laude, with a Doctor of Optometry Degree. In addition to her internships in optometry school and various clinics in the U.S., she pursued further extensive ocular disorder treatment and management training and completed her Ocular Disease residency at the renowned Omni Eye Services and Surgery in New Jersey and New York, a multi-specialty ophthalmology practice. Since 2002, Dr. Li has been practicing full scope optometry, with special interests in myopia control, specialty contact lenses and dry eye therapy. After practicing for 12 years in the United States, she moved to Vancouver 7 years ago to practice and now works closely with local family doctors and ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive eye care in the UBC Wesbrook Village and East Vancouver areas. Dr. Li is a member of the BCAO and CAO and American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.
Dr. Li mainly practices in Vancouver but has maintained her licenses in NY and NJ and occasionally flies back to practice in the U.S. Aside from work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, arts and music, and explore the different food scenes in Vancouver. Dr. Li is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. She provides comprehensive eye exams, therapeutic/medical exams, contact lens fitting, with a special interest in specialty contacts (toric, multifocal, keratoconus) and orthokeratology (Ortho-k lenses).
Dr. Yeseul Ahn
Dr. Yeseul Ahn grew up in Winnipeg, MB. She graduated from the Western University in London, ON in 2009 with a degree in Hon. B.Sc in Kinesiology. She went on to pursue a Doctorate of Optometry at Illinois College of Optometry and graduated in 2013.
Dr. Ahn completed her training at Veterans Affairs hospital in Newington, CT and Orlando, FL in ocular diseases. She also spent some time in Chicago, IL for pediatric and contact lens fitting.
After her training, she decided to move to beautiful Vancouver Island for a few years before moving to Vancouver.
Dr. Ahn is committed to providing the utmost care and understanding the needs of her patients. She welcomes patients of all age groups from children to seniors.
Dr. Edward Hsieh
Dr. Edward Hsieh completed his undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University and then pursued his Doctor of Optometry degree at Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. Dr. Hsieh is TPA certified in B.C. and is fluent in English and Mandarin. Dr. Hsieh enjoys seeing patients of all ages and has special clinical interest in specialty contact lens fitting, myopia control, and management of ocular disease.
